GEORGETOWN, IN (WAVE) - Police caught and arrested Damon Schnellenberger at a home with active meth labs in the 100 block of Kepley Road late Friday.
Also arrested on drug charges were the residents of the home, Deborah A. Andres and Donald A. McKim Jr.
The incident began around 8 Thursday morning when police received a call that two men were standing in the middle of the road in the 3300 block of Crandall-Lanesville Road. When officers approached the men, they fled. William Shawn Berkely was caught and arrested immediately. Schnellenberger escaped.
According to Capt. Brad Shepherd, Harrison County Police, K-9s tracked Schnellenberger's scent behind Berkley's home where they uncovered an estimated 200 marijuana plants. Police then got a search warrant to go inside the home to look for Schnellenberger. He was not there, but investigators discovered the remnants of a meth lab, and a white substance appearing to be meth or cocaine.
