LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Tens of thousands of comic book fans gathered in Louisville to meet some of their favorite comic book and movie super heroes.
FandomFest 2013 kicked off at the Kentucky International Convention Center Friday night.
One of the highlights of the event was the appearance of legendary comic book creator Stan Lee, 90.
If you think comic books are just for children, think again, Lee said, "When we started these conventions years ago it used to be all kids with an adult here or there, now it's all adults with a kid here or there."
Fandomfest runs through July 28 and will include appearances by William Shatner, Gillian Anderson, who played Agent Scully on the X-files, and several actors from The Walking Dead.
