LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – When Louisville Metro Police officers saw a car in the parking lot of a closed business on Bishop Lane, they decided to check it out. When they walked up to the window, police found Melissa J. Moore with a needle in her arm. They also discovered Moore wasn't alone.
The arrest report says once Moore, 27, realized the people who knocked on her car window were police she pulled the needle out of her arm and stuck it in the door panel.
Police recovered the needle, along with a spoon that contained what appeared to be heroin, two small bags that contained possible heroin, along several needles.
Officers said Moore had a small child with her in the car when she purchased the drugs and while she was shooting up.
Moore was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possess of drug paraphernalia.
