LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - A Jeffersonville, Indiana man was identified Monday as the serial robber who committed suicide after he was pulled over by police.
According to the Jefferson County Coroner's Office, Brandon Wight, 33, died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head after he held up Bowman Field Wine and Spirits Saturday night.

Police cars swarmed Strathmoor Boulevard and Dundee Road after a Louisville Metro police officer pulled over a white pickup truck because the driver was acting suspicious. The officer realized the man matched the description of the suspect wanted in Saturday night's robbery and other robberies over the last month. That's when Wight pulled out a gun and shot himself. He was pronounced dead at the scene at 10:57 p.m. Saturday.
Police said Wight robbed eight Louisville businesses, hitting some of them twice.
