Options for family fun: Dolly Parton chats up Dollywood

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Country music icon Dolly Parton chatted with WAVE 3 News Anchor Scott Adkins about new attractions at Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.

Dollywood, about a four hour drive from Louisville, is debuting the park's new family coaster FireChaser Express as the new season opens March 22nd.

Dollywood's Splash Country opens Saturday, May 11, and will be open on weekends until daily operation begins Memorial Day Weekend on May 25.

Dolly also talks about her new album, Blue Smoke, which will be released May 13.

Dolly Parton is the most honored female country performer of all time.  She has 41 career top 10 country albums, a record for any artist, and she's sold more than 100 million records and downloads world-wide.
