Visitation for mother, daughter killed in Nelson County takes place Sunday, Monday

BARDSTOWN, KY (WAVE) – Visitation for the mother and daughter who were killed in Nelson County is Sunday, April 27, from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m, and Monday, April 28, starting at 8:30 a.m.

Kathy Netherland, 48, was a beloved special education teacher at Bardstown Elementary. Samantha Netherland, 16, was a sophomore at Bardstown High.

Visitation for both will take place at Parkway Baptist Church. Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. on Monday at the same location. They will be buried at Bardstown Cemetery. Dr. James Carroll will officiate.

Expressions of sympathy have been requested to Special Olympics of KY., KEA, and Nelson County Humane Society. Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home of Bardstown is in charge of arrangements.
