Business security guard charged with theft

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – A man employed by a security company to guard a business is now charged with stealing some of the merchandise he was there to protect.
Damon D. Mays, 20, of Louisville, was arrested on June 11 for the theft of 14 phones from Gazelle, Inc. After being read his rights, police say Mays admitted taking the phones between June 6 and 8.
Mays, who was working for Imperial Security at the time of the thefts, was booked into Louisville Metro Corrections for theft by unlawful taking.
