2 men arrested when police find signs of dog fighting

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – Two men have been arrested after police discover several injured pit bulls in their home.
Police were called to a home in the 2500 block of Rowan Street on June 24. Neighbors said they heard gun shots in the back of the home. According to the police report, two men were present, Robert Dickerson, 27, and Edward Bryant, 31, were on probation for other charges.
While inside the home, officers found several pit bills with signs of dog fighting. One dog was bleeding from the neck. Further investigation found an empty room with blood on the floor.
Officers also found several used syringes and penicillin.
Both men are facing felony animal cruelty charges.
