Building on abandoned warehouse site catches fire

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – Firefighters fought to put out flames after a building on an abandoned warehouse site caught fire Wednesday.xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /
According to MetroSafe, the fire was reported at 7:50 p.m. in the 1300 block of Dixie Highway.
When Louisville Fire and Rescue crews arrived they reported heavy fire and smoke was coming from a single story building.
It took firefighters 25 minutes to gain control of the fire.
No injuries have been reported.
Dixie Highway near St. Louis Avenue will be shut down due to fire equipment.
