UofL student found dead in off-campus housing complex; death investigation launched

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - The Louisville Metro Police Department has launched a death investigation after a University of Louisville student was found dead in an off-campus apartment.
According to UofL spokesman Mark Hebert, the 22-year-old student was a resident of Cardinal Towne, an off-campus, privately owned student housing complex affiliated with the university.

Hebert said the university and Cardinal Towne management are cooperating with the investigation.
UofL is providing counseling services to students and staff who knew the student, who has not been identified.
It was not immediately clear how the student died or when the body was found.
