LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - The Louisville Metro Police Department is investigating the death of a University of Louisville cheerleader as a suspected overdose, according to an LMPD spokesman on Wednesday.

Danielle Cogswell, 22, was found dead Monday morning inside an apartment at Cardinal Towne Apartments, an off-campus student housing complex.

Officer Dwight Mitchell said Wednesday there is no suspicion of foul play surrounding Cogswell's death. Whether Cogswell actually died of an overdose will not fully be determined until the toxicology report is completed by the Kentucky Medical Examiner. That could take 60 to 90 days, Mitchell said.
