TAYLORSVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Three bank robbery suspects are on the run in a car that was stolen in Louisville, according to the Spencer County sheriff.

The People's Bank branch in Elk Creek was held up at gunpoint shortly after noon on Wednesday by three men who got away in a small, bright blue Chevrolet four-door vehicle with a bungee cord across the hood, Sheriff Buddy Stump said. They are believed to have headed south on KY 155. Kentucky State Police have identified the vehicle as a 2007 Chevrolet Aveo.
