Indicted southern IN sheriff retires

JEFFERSONVILLE, IN (WAVE) - He's accused of using his authority as Clark County sheriff to get a prostitute discounts at Louisville hotels. Now, Danny Rodden, the embattled Clark County sheriff, has retired from his post.

Chief Deputy Brian Meyer confirms to WAVE 3 News that Rodden signed his retirement papers Oct. 1 and they have been submitted to Indianapolis as part of the process.

Rodden was indicted in July on seven federal felony counts involving a prostitute.
