LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - The man who Louisville Metro Police say confessed to shooting his girlfriend and then setting her body on fire has appeared before a judge.
Antoine Bosley, 46, was brought into the arraignment courtroom at Louisville Metro Corrections in a wheelchair. After standing up slowly Bosley said very little as the judge and the prosecutors discussed his criminal history.
Police say Bosley killed Amy Ndao, 38, on the night of Oct. 5 at the couple's home on Iowa Avenue near Churchill Downs. After shooting Ndao, Bosley then carried her body into the backyard of the home and burned it in an attempt to hide the evidence.
The next day, Bosley was involved in a DUI crash in Ndao's car. While investigating the accident police found a .380 handgun in the car. They now believe it was the weapon used to kill Ndao.
Bond for Bosley was set at $150,000 cash. He was ordered to have no contact with the Ndao family. His next court date was set for Oct. 20.
