BOWLING GREEN, KY (WAVE) - A Western Kentucky University student from Louisville died in a house fire in Bowling Green that left another man injured on Friday.

The Warren County Coroner's Office identified the victim as 20-year-old Tyler English. The cause of his death has not been released.

The Bowling Green Daily News reports English was a graduate of Louisville's Trinity High School and a sophomore construction management major who was recruited for the Hilltopper football team as an offensive lineman prior to his freshman year in 2012. He was never able to play because of an injury he suffered in an off-season car accident.

A roommate of English was taken to The Medical Center in Bowling Green with unknown injuries. His name has not been released.

The Bowling Green Daily News says the fire started shortly after 5 a.m. at the home in the 600 block of East Main Avenue.
