WEST BADEN SPRINGS, IN (WAVE) – The search is on for two suspects wanted for questioning after a husband and wife were stabbed during a home invasion.

Donna Meehan said she was startled by a loud noise on Main Street early Thursday morning.

"There were the two guys in black hoodies with skeleton faces on," Donna Meehan said.

Police said the two suspects got in through an unlocked window and demanded money and pills. Once Bob Meehan refused, he was stabbed in the stomach and leg, investigators said. Then they went after Donna Meehan, who is disabled.

"They started for the door and I got hit up the side of my neck and I thought I was hit with a fist and when I got into my wheelchair, I had blood gushing down the front of me," Donna Meehan said.

Police said they're looking for Tanner Stickney, 20, and Cody Lake, 21, both of Bedford, for questioning.

"They left the house, did not take anything, got into a vehicle and left, so it is somewhat of a spontaneous yet unnecessary, completely uncalled for and ridiculous crime," Indiana State Police Sgt. Philip Hensley said.

Donna Meehan said Stickney is her grandson and she believes the attack is because of a fight earlier in the week.

"He got mad at me because Monday he called and told me that his mom said that he could have $50 and I told him no," Donna Meehan said.

Police said the suspects were last seen at a Walmart store in Bloomington. Both are believed to be in a silver Pontiac Grand Prix or Grand Am with a big sticker of the car's name in the window.

"Do not approach them; do not approach this car," Hensley said. "We are considering these two armed and dangerous."

"He needs to turn himself in is what he needs to do," Donna Meehan said.

Bob Meehan is recovering at University Hospital. His wife said his surgery went well and he should be released in the next few days. If you have any information about the suspects, call 911.
