LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – Nine people were injured in a crash involving three vehicles in the Portland neighborhood Tuesday afternoon.
A preliminary investigation by Louisville Metro police showed a black truck ran a stop sign at the intersection of 27th and Montgomery Streets and hit a red passenger vehicle at 4:15 p.m.
The impact caused the driver of the truck to lose control and overturn as the driver of the red vehicle hit a SUV then wrecked into a tree.
The driver of the SUV was able to stop.
Two people who were inside of the truck, four who were in the red car and three who were inside the SUV were taken to University of Louisville Hospital for treatment.
MetroSafe said some of the injuries appeared serious, but non-life threatening.
