PANAMA CITY, FL (WAVE) - The Grayson County Sheriff has traveled to Florida to bring 18-year-old Dalton Hayes home to Kentucky to face charges.

Hayes and his 13-year-old girlfriend Cheyenne Phillips were on the run for two weeks, leading police on a multi-state search for the pair accused of forging checks and stealing automobiles. They were captured in Panama City Beach on Jan. 18.

Shawn Phillips, Cheyenne's father, told the Associated Press he's not upset with his daughter or Hayes.

Phillips is being held at a youth facility in Florida. She will be brought back to Kentucky at a later date.
