UofL Athletics announces new radio partnership

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - The University of Louisville has announced a new partnership with ESPN Radio and a new FM radio station that will carry UofL specific content.

The station will be called 93.9 The Ville and will officially launch Thursday, Jan. 29. Programming will consist of local shows from 7 to 10 a.m. and 3 to 6 p.m. National programming from ESPN Radio will to fill in the rest of the schedule.

UofL baseball games and the Jeff Walz Show will also air on the channel.

Drew Deener, the morning show host on ESPN 680, will move over to 93.9 and host the 7 a.m. show. John Ramsey, host of WAVE 3 Listens, will host the 3 p.m. show.

The current stations broadcasting ESPN content, 680 AM and 105.7 FM, will continue their current programming.
