MUNFORDVILLE, KY (WAVE) - A toddler was killed and six other people were injured in a two-vehicle crash in Hart County on Sunday.
According to a news release from Kentucky State Police Post 3 in Bowling Green, Anita Bingle, 44, of Cave City was southbound on South Dixie Highway near Munfordville around 1:25 p.m. on Sunday when the 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee she was driving hydroplaned, causing her to lose control of the vehicle. Bingle's Jeep crashed into a 1999 Pontiac Grand Prix driven by Lisa Crump, 24, of Bonnieville. She was traveling northbound on South Dixie Highway.
Bing was transported to Caverna Memorial Hospital where she was treated and released. William Bingle, 53, was the front seat passenger in her car. He was transported to Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown and was later taken to University of Louisville Hospital where he was listed in critical condition.
Tiffany Avery, 25, of Cave City, a back seat passenger was taken to T.J. Samson Community Hospital where she was treated and released. Another back seat passenger, age 9, of Camner was ejected from the vehicle and taken to T.J. Samson Community Hospital. She was later transported to Kosair Children's Hospital in Louisville. Her condition was listed as stable. A third back seat passenger, a 2-year-old from Camner, was pronounced dead at the scene. The deceased juvenile was restrained in a child restraint system at the time of the collision.
Lisa Crump was taken by ambulance to Hardin Memorial Hospital and later transported to University of Louisville Hospital where she was in critical but stable condition. Her back seat passenger, a 4-year-old girl from Bonnieville, was taken to Kosair Children's Hospital where she was listed in critical condition. The child was restrained in a booster seat when the crash happened.
The investigation in to the crash is continuing.
