LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - One local non-profit hopes the latest blast of winter weather has you in the mood for spring.
The Junior League of Louisville presents Tulips and Juleps, a weekend-long art and gift market with more than 70 vendors selling a variety of products to get you ready for everything from gardening to hosting a Derby party.
In addition to the market, there are several special events planned throughout the weekend, as well as a silent auction.
A happy hour Friday night includes live music, an appearance by members of Louisville City FC and Falls City Beer tasting.
Saturday has a lot in store with a full day of shopping, a Healthier Gardening workshop at 10 a.m., and Girls Night Out in the evening.
All of the proceeds from the market go toward Junior League projects throughout the community. Those include service initiatives with Gilda's Club, Family Scholar House, Maryhurst and many other organizations supporting women and children in Louisville.
Tickets for a day of shopping are $5. Weekend passes are available for $25 that include both evening events and drink vouchers. Tickets to those special events are $15 each night.
Tulips and Juleps will be at Louisville Slugger Field, 401 E Main St., from Friday, February 27 to Sunday, March 1.
