LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - The man charged with committing the first homicide of 2015 in Louisville Metro returned to a courtroom today.
William Crockett, 53, is accused of killing Chris Fisher, 55, at her home Windy Hills on the night of January 1. Crockett and Fisher once had a relationship which ended shortly before the murder.
During the hearing Crockett's attorney asked Judge Susan Schultz Gibson for more time to review evidence released by the prosecution.
When Crocket was arrested by Indiana State Police near his home in Sellersburg, four handguns were found in his car.
Gibson set a date of April 13 for the next pre-trial conference. Crockett remains in custody at Louisville Metro Corrections. His bond is $500,000 cash on each of the two charges he is facing - murder and murder-domestic violence.
