FRANKFORT, KY (WAVE) – The Franklin County Sheriff's Office will address questions about another case of stolen bourbon at a news conference Thursday.

WAVE 3 News is headed to Frankfort for the 11 a.m. press conference.

It's not clear what kind of bourbon was stolen, or how much, but the heist does not have anything to do with a Pappy Van Winkle theft that made headlines.

In October 2013, 195 bottles of 20-year-old Pappy Van Winkle and nine cases of 13-year-old Pappy Van Winkle Rye, worth around $26,000 total, were stolen from the Buffalo Trace distillery in Frankfort.

The bottles retail for $120 each, but can be sold for nearly ten times that price at auction.

This story will be updated as new information becomes available.
