Police: Man jumped razor wire fence to steal copper wire

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - A Louisville man has admitted to committing several thefts from a state facility.

Louisville Metro police arrested Jason W. Horsman, 36, on March 23.

Police say Horsman admitted that on March 21 he jumped a 10 foot high fence topped with razor wire and stole a wooden spool containing copper wire. The theft happened at a Kentucky Department of Transportation facility in the 1500 block of Durrett Lane.

During questioning, police say Horsman admitted to three other thefts from the same facility.

Horsman is charged with theft by unlawful taking and criminal mischief.
