LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Louisville Metro police have arrested one of two men wanted for an armed home invasion.
Preston Lee Starling, 21, of Louisville, was taken into custody on April 9 in the 2700 block of Howard St.
An arrest warrant says Starling and another person broke open the front door of a home in the 2700 block of Garland Ave., went inside and demanded money. When the victim and Starling's co-defendant began fighting over the gun the warrant says Starling closed the door to prevent people outside from seeing the altercation and to prevent the victim from fleeing/
The victim was able to block the door from being closed with his leg, and was able to get the gun during the struggle. Starling and his partner fled from the scene.
Police said the victim was able to identify Starling in a photo lineup. He is being held at Louisville Metro Corrections on charges of robbery, burglary and assault.
The victim was treated for minor injuries.
