LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - The mother of the girl dragged by a Jefferson County Public Schools bus said Sunday night that her daughter had been discharged from Kosair Children's Hospital.

Ally Rednour, 7, is a first grade student at Wilkerson Elementary. On Friday, she was dragged along Morning Star Way when her backpack got caught in the door of her school bus.

Neighbors estimated that she was dragged for at least 300 feet, though her mother, Amy Rednour, said she believes it was much longer than that. Amy, who is also a bus driver for JCPS, was driving a different bus at the time of the incident.

Surveillance video provided to WAVE 3 News by a neighbor shows the girl being dragged and a red Camaro speeding around the bus in an attempt to alert the driver. The bus driver has not been identified.

Friends have established a fundraiser on GoFundMe to help pay for Ally's treatment and recovery.
