Metro police say the robbery happened around midnight May 23 at the Super 8 Motel in the 100 block of Central Avenue. Arrest reports say Horn was armed with a handgun and robbed the desk clerk while Kelty acted as the lookout and drove the car.

After being told of their rights, police said both men gave statements admitting to their roles in the robbery.

Horn and Kelty are both being held at Metro Corrections. Bond for Horn was set at $50,000 cash. Kelty was already in custody after he was arrested on unrelated charges just hours after taking part in the holdup. His bond is $25,000 cash.

Both men are scheduled to be back in court on June 4.
