LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Police say a Louisville man robbed an Ohio County woman at knife point after faking an emergency and asking to use her phone.
Kentucky State Police had been looking for the suspect in the Rockport, KY, robbery since May 11. The man allegedly asked to use the woman's phone, then pulled out a large knife and demanded money. Police say he restrained her using duct tape and made off with an undisclosed amount of money.
Dustin C. Beck, 34, who is currently being held at Louisville Metro Corrections on unrelated charges was identified Thursday as a suspect in the robbery. Police say evidence from inside the woman's home linked Beck to the robbery. He is charged with first-degree robbery, first-degree burglary and kidnapping.
Another man, Allen Herald Jr., 35, of Greenville was also charged. Police say he acted as Beck's getaway driver. Herald is being held at the Ohio County jail.
