LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - The office of the Jefferson County Attorney is reviewing a letter allegedly sent by one of its prosecutors referring to the Asian-American owners of a local business as "greedy foreigners."

The letter, which first surfaced on the Facebook page for The Kentucky Trial Court Review, appears on the letterhead of Karl Price's private firm. Price is also an assistant county attorney.

The note says the business owners refused to refund Price's client "relying on some ancient Asian principle I suppose."

The letter was dated May 22. On Friday, the Jefferson County Attorney's Office said they are reviewing the matter.

Price's law office is closed on Fridays, according to a message on his phone service, and the lawyer did not immediately respond to an email inquiring about the letter.

The County Attorney's office prosecutes misdemeanors, violations and juvenile cases. Felony cases are handled by the Commonwealth's Attorney. The County Attorney's office employs about 90 prosecutors, according to the metro government website.
