3 people injured in fiery Hardin Co. crash

ELIZABETHTOWN, KY (WAVE) - Three people were injured Saturday night in a fiery two-vehicle crash in Hardin County.

Radcliff Police Department spokesman Bryce Shumate said the accident happened at the intersection of northbound US 31W (Dixie Highway) and 1st Street just south of Hardin County Honda in northern Elizabethtown. One of the vehicles caught on fire.

One of the patients needed to be airlifted to University of Louisville Hospital, Shumate said, but weather conditions did not allow for helicopter travel, so all three patents were taken to Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
