LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - More than 2,500 people in Jefferson County were without power Tuesday morning because of two unrelated outages.
A spokesperson for LG&E told WAVE 3 News a squirrel was responsible for an outage in Jeffersontown that affected 2,193 customers. Details about what the squirrel did to knock out power were not immediately available.
The safety feature caused a piece of equipment to open. Crews were working to reroute as many customers as possible to restore their power.
