LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Two dogs are in need after they were found in horrible conditions.
The Arrow Fund rescued two dogs, Waldo and Tonka, and took them back to Blue Pearl Animal Hospital in Louisville.
The first dog Waldo, was found matted, filthy and frightened in a grassy area in the metro. Workers washed and shaved the dog and found dead tissue and a maggot infestation. There was also metal and gravel in the terrier mix's stomach and intestines.
Tonka, an English Bulldog, was found in Jessamine County severely emaciated. Workers believe the dog was thrown from a car and is suffering from extreme starvation, pneumonia, chronic vomiting and skin problems.
Donations for The Arrow Fund are accepted on their website.
