Body recovered from river near Falls of the Ohio

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – A body found near the Falls of the Ohio state park was recovered from the Ohio River Monday evening.
Louisville Metro Police Department spokesman Dwight Mitchell said officers received a report of a man's body floating in the river around 8 p.m.
Mitchell said the body was removed and transported to the Kentucky Medical Examiner's office to be identified.
Emergency crews have been searching the Ohio River for three people who went missing Saturday after a pontoon collided with a construction barge near the site of the new downtown bridge. Two people died in the crash.
Investigators will have to wait for a positive identity from the Medical Examiner before knowing whether or not the body discovered was one of the victims of the pontoon accident.
