Robbery suspect barricades himself in south Louisville home

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - A robbery suspect who barricaded himself inside a home in south Louisville was arraigned Friday.

According to Hillview Police Department Detective Charles McWhirter, on Wednesday, July 29 at 6 a.m. officers responded to a report of a robbery at the Sav-A-Stop Market, located at 11489 Old Preston Highway.

Around 7:20 a.m. Thursday, July 30, a second robbery was reported at the same store.

An officer located the suspect's vehicle in parked in the 10900 block of Waycross Avenue. An investigation revealed the suspect, Larry Randall Rose, 48, was inside the home and the Louisville Metro Police Department SWAT Team was called to the home.

After several attempts to speak with the Rose the SWAT Team forced entry and he was taken into custody without incident.

Rose was booked into the Bullitt County Jail where he is being held on a $200,000 bond. He was charged with two counts of first degree robbery.
