LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - A man has been charged with murder after the person he assaulted died from their injuries.

Mark D. Murry, 46, was arrested at Louisville Metro police headquarters at 8:40 p.m. Aug. 3.

Dwight Mitchell, LMPD spokesman, said officers were called to the 500 block of E. Breckinridge Street around 2 p.m. on a report of a person down. 
Mitchell said a man was found unconscious suffering multiple injuries and was taken to University of Louisville Hospital. The man later died from his injuries.

Mitchell said Murry and the victim were not strangers and appeared to have some type of physical altercation that led to the injuries suffered by the victim.

Bond for Murry was set at $500,000 cash. He remains in custody at Louisville Metro Corrections.

The name of the victim has not been released. The Jefferson County Coroner's Office has not ruled on an official cause of death.
