LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – A majority caucus voted Thursday to replace the Louisville Metro Council Democratic Caucus director.
The caucus voted 12 to 4 to fire Elizabeth Hoffman who will be replaced by Aaron Horner.
Horner, who currently serves as the Deputy Executive Director of the Kentucky Office of Homeland Security, has served in the office since 2008.
In January, Hoffman was arrested, along with former Louisville Metro CFO Stephen Rowland, for public intoxication and disorderly conduct after the two were accused of disruptive and intimate behavior inside an El Nopal restaurant.
Following her arrest, she was placed on unpaid leave from her position.
Hoffman told WAVE 3 News anchor John Boel she had been going through tough family struggles at the time and was on medications.
