Thompson's arrest report says the robbery happened 55 minutes earlier at The Province, located on Ruggles Place just off the UofL Belknap Campus. The iPhone and $30 in cash were taken during the robbery.

UofL police were able to track the phone to 17th and Garland and found Thompson in possession of it. After being given his rights Thompson told police several stories about where he had been before his arrest. Police say Thompson finally admitted to being at the scene and receiving the money taken from the victim. He had a total of $445 in cash at the time of his arrest.

Thompson is charged with robbery and receiving stolen property. He is being held on a $5,000 cash bond following his arraignment earlier today.
