LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - A suspect has been arrested in connection to a body found inside a box in Fairdale earlier this month.

Derek Roark, 39, of Clearfield, KY turned himself in to authorities in Montgomery County on Tuesday after a warrant was issued for his arrest. The warrant charges Roark with tampering with physical evidence and abuse of a corpse.

Jeffrey David Kingdon, 55, was found inside a box in the 3000 block of South Park Road on October 13. His last known address was Fort Worth, TX. The

The criminal complaint against Roark says Kingdon died from a suspected drug overdose between Oct. 10 and Oct. 13. Before Kingdon died, the complaint says Roark performed CPR and revived him. A witnesses at the scene wanted to call police to get help for Kingdon, but Roark would not let him.

Police said Roark treated Kingdon "in a way that would outrage ordinary family sensibilities."

Detectives said they found Kingdon's clothes at Roark's residence. They also found items showing that Roark tried to conceal what happened.
