LOUISVILLE, Ky (WAVE) - A Louisville man has been arrested for his role in a home invasion that left him with a gunshot wound.

A police report say the home invasion happened in the 1400 block of Oakwood Avenue on November 8 and was recorded on the video surveillance system at the home.

According to Louisville Metro police, Jamal I. Jackson, 20, of Louisville, was one of four people armed with handguns who kicked in the front door of a home.

detectives said two shots were fired by the suspects, but the resident fired once hitting Jackson in the right shoulder area.

Jackson drove himself to University of Louisville Hospital for treatment. While at the hospital, police said Jackson made a statement to an officer that he wasn't the one who kicked in the door.

Jackson is charged with one count each of robbery and burglary. Bond was set at $10,000 cash.
