According to the warrant, on November 7 neighbors saw Jecker take a package from the porch of a home after it had been delivered by the U.S. Postal Service. The witness confronted Jecker, but went down an alley.

The witness was able to give police a good description of the man, but when officers located and talked to Jecker he did not have the package on him. Charges were filed against Jecker after police reviewed surveillance view of the theft and were able to make a positive identification.

Jecker is charged with theft of mail matter and receiving stolen property. He was released from Louisville Metro Corrections just after Noon today.
