17-year-old Park Hill shooting victim identified

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – A teenager who was shot Wednesday night in the Park Hill neighborhood has been pronounced dead at University of Louisville Hospital, and a second juvenile has been charged with murder, a Louisville Metro Police Department spokesman said on Thursday.

The Jefferson County Coroner's Office has identified the victim as Adrian Cook, 17, of Louisville. He was pronounced dead of a single gunshot wound at University of Louisville Hospital emergency room at 10:08 p.m. Wednesday.

The suspect, a 16-year-old boy, is also charged with receiving stolen property and tampering with physical evidence. He was taken to the Jefferson County Youth Center.

Police responded to the shooting scene inside a home in the 1700 block of Bolling Avenue about 9:30 Wednesday night.

Right now, investigators are not releasing any additional information. Funeral arrangements for Cook have not been announced.
