Man shot, killed in Shawnee neighborhood

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Louisville Metro police are investigating a shooting that happened Thursday in the Shawnee neighborhood.
Police were called to the scene of the shooting at Larkwood Avenue and 43rd Street at 9:47 p.m.
A male in his early 20s was pronounced dead at the scene, LMPD spokesperson Dwight Mitchell said.
No suspect information has been released. Anyone with information is asked to call the anonymous police tip line at (502) 574-LMPD.
The LMPD homicide unit is investigating.
