Coroner identifies man shot, killed in Algonquin neighborhood

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - A man died from a gunshot wound he suffered late Saturday afternoon in the Algonquin neighborhood.

Tevin Logan, 25, was shot in the 2100 block of W. Gaulbert Avenue around 4:40 p.m. Saturday, Jefferson County Deputy Coroner Scott Russ released.

Logan was found on the floor of a residence with a gunshot wound. He was transported to University of Louisville Hospital where he died of his injuries less than an hour later, just before 5:30 p.m., the coroner said.

The were other people in the house when the incident occurred, but none of them were injured. The homicide unit is interviewing witnesses in the area and canvassing the neighborhood for a suspect(s).
