LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - On Thursday, December 10, NBC presents the true story of family and life's true blessings in Dolly Parton's Coat of Many Colors, a movie based a special year of Parton's childhood, which inspired her to write the song Coat of Many Colors.

The movie stars Jennifer Nettles of Sugarland fame, Ricky Schroeder and The Young and the Restless star Alyvia Alyn Lind as Dolly Parton. They appeared on WAVE 3 News Midday on Monday to talk about the movie and Parton's presence on set.

Dolly Parton's Coat of Many Colors airs Thursday night at 9 p.m. on WAVE 3 News and NBC.
