Man dies after shooting involving Grayson Co. Sheriff's deputy

LEITCHFIELD, KY (WAVE) – A man died following a shooting involving a Grayson County Sheriff's Office deputy, according to Kentucky State Police.

KSP Trooper Jeff Gregory, confirmed two Sheriff's units were called to a report of a domestic disturbance with a report of shots fired in the 4000 block of Saint Paul Road around 2 p.m. on Wednesday.

When units arrived at the home a suspect was in the driveway with a firearm and came toward the deputies. Gregory said one of the deputies fired multiple times and hit the suspect.

KSP said none of the law enforcement officers involved in the incident were injured.

The name of the suspect has not been released.

KSP Post 4 in Elizabethtown is investigating the shooting.
