Pedestrian recovering from hit-and-run

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - A pedestrian is recovering after being hit by a vehicle that left the scene early New Year's Day.
Louisville Metro Police Department spokeswoman Alicia Smiley said the incident happened before 3 a.m. Friday on Dixie Highway between Valley Station Road and Alanadale Drive.

Smiley said the victim suffered what appeared to be non-life-threatening injuries, and the driver left the scene.
The victim's name has not been released.
