Suspects arrested in Jeffersontown street robbery
LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Two men wanted for the armed robbery of a person were arrested by Jeffersontown police just an hour after committing the crime they are accused of.
Bryant D. Crowder, 22, and Tevin D. Humphrey, 21, both of Louisville, were arrested January 4 on charges of robbery, fleeing or evading police, wanton endangerment and tampering with physical evidence.
Arrest reports for the men say Jeffersontown police were called to the 200 block of Stoke on Trent around 10:30 p.m. after a person reported they had been robbed in a parking lot by two men with a guns.
Crowder and Humphrey were arrested about one hour after the robbery after they were seen running in the area and wearing clothing that matched the description given by the victim. Crowder was tased by police after he ran through a shallow creek; Humphrey was found hiding in some bushes by a police dog.
Officers found property belonging to the victim on both men, along with a loaded 9mm handgun on Crowder. Humphrey told police he tossed the 9mm he was carrying. Police were able to located the gun.
Crowder and Humphrey remain at Louisville Metro Corrections. They are scheduled to be arraigned on January 6.
