SHEPHERDSVILLE, KY (WAVE) - A popular video game store is moving its distribution center from Louisville to Shepherdsville, KY.

GameStop will be opening a more than 630,000 square foot distribution center for the distribution of the company's video game products to its more than 4,000 U.S. store locations.

The new distribution center presents an increase of 370,000 square feet in space for GameStop.

GameStop is planning to invest more than $10 million in equipment and facility upgrades. They plan to hire up to 170 additional associates, which will bring the total number of regular full-time employees at the distribution center to over 400 associates.

The new distribution center will replace the previous location in Louisville.
