LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - The Louisville Independent Business Alliance hosted its first local business expo on Thursday as part of an effort to keep more money circulating in the local economy.
The showcase featured companies that focus on selling goods to other businesses, rather than consumers.
LIBA estimates that a relatively modest shift toward local businesses could keep hundreds of millions of dollars in the local economy.
Louisville Mayor Greg Fischer was on hand to help kickoff the event at the Clifton Center.
