LEXINGTON, KY (WAVE) - A gas station clerk bought a man a cup of coffee Sunday morning, then a short time later that man robbed the clerk.

It happened at a Shell station in Lexington, at the corner of New Circle and Broadway, according to WLEX-18, the NBC affiliate there.

According to the story, the clerk told police that the man walked into the gas station around 7:15 a.m. and didn't have enough money for coffee but continued to linger there.
